Surgery Team
Our Expertise
The hospital is multi-specialty secondary (general) hospital in the health care system of the
country. Prior to the Tigray Conflict, the hospital was extending its service 110 in-patient bed services, 8 pre and 14 post
labour beds, 15 emergency beds, 4 operation theatres table with 8 recovery beds with each
monitor and 20 beds for neonatal intensive care unit. In general the hospital gives four major
specialty as an outpatient and inpatient service these are paediatrics, surgery, internal medicine,
maternity and other speciality services.

This department provides service for minor and major (emergency and non-emergency) services. In the year prior to the war, 1668 major surgery for both emergency and nonemergency services and 1143 minor cases services were performed.
